WORKFORCE: Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust has reported that 7.9 per cent of its pay bill was going on temporary staff in March, against a target of 5 per cent.
The trust’s sickness absence rates were above target for the year, with a rolling 12-month rate of 5.38 per cent at the end of 2011-12.
A national target of 3.39 per cent has been set for 2012-13, based on the best performing trusts in the country.
