PERFORMANCE: Birmingham Children’s Hospital Foundation Trust has said an innovative new feedback app - which allows patients to make comments on how they are being treated in almost real-time – has been a success.
Six months after the launch of the smartphone app the trust says the feedback app has boosted staff morale and improved the patient experience.
Initially run as a pilot the app, which links directly to the trust website, has received more than 550 comments across 50 wards and departments with 75 per cent being positive.
The app was developed by healthcare company Digital Life Sciences and is available to both iPhone and Android smartphones.
