A hospital trust rated “outstanding” for leadership has appointed a new chief executive from a nearby provider.
Bolton Foundation Trust has hired Fiona Noden, currently the Christie Foundation Trust’s chief operating officer, to the role.
She will take up the role in April, replacing Jackie Bene, who has overseen a financial turnaround, and led the trust to a “good” overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. It is rated “outstanding” for leadership.
Ms Noden, who was born and brought up in Bolton, has been COO at the Christie for four-and-a-half years, overseeing operations and leading change projects. She has served as the elected chair of the Greater Manchester chief operating officers committee for six years.
Bolton FT chair Donna Hall said: “As a fellow Boltonian I am really looking forward to welcoming Fiona to Bolton Foundation Trust. I know that she is as passionate about our town as we are.”
