A mental health and community trust has confirmed its interim director of operations and nursing will take up the board position permanently.
Bradford District Care Foundation Trust has announced its deputy director of mental health acute and community services Debra Gilderdale has been appointed to the role following the “robust selection process”.
Ms Gilderdale has been acting as interim director of operations and nursing following the retirement of former chief executive Simon Large in August last year after nearly 10 years in the post.
Ms Gilderdale, who has worked in the NHS for more than 30 years, said she was delighted to be appointed to the role.
Trust chair Michael Smith said: “Debra brings extensive knowledge and experience to our organisation, and will continue to provide expertise that is central to helping the Trust achieve its objectives to deliver high quality mental and physical health services for the people we serve.”
