PERFORMANCE: Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust was picked out by the Care Quality Commission as performing below average in the inpatient survey for discussing future health or social care needs with patients.

The results of the 2012 national inpatient survey were published by the CQC earlier this month.

Brighton and Sussex was among 10 trusts identified by the CQC as performing “significantly worse than average” for question 64 – did hospital staff discuss with you whether you may need any further health or social care services after leaving hospital?
