FINANCE: The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire primary care trust cluster has been rated amber on three of its five QIPP initiatives for the second quarter of 201-13.

Plans to release savings in elective and planned care, urgent care and mental health have all been rated amber by NHS South of England. The QIPP tracker submitted to the DH says almost all of the slippage in the elective and planned care initiative is due to issues with the implmentation of a patient administration system at North Bristol Trust.

Initiatives on primary and community care and improving medicines management are rated green. The cluster has been rated amber overall. The QIPP tracker report says: “BNSSG have continued to slowly improve the delivery of milestones with further improvements expected over the next three months.”
