PERFORMANCE: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is well above its cumulative infection control target for 2011-12.
At its October board meeting the acute and community services provider reported 35 cases of C difficile and MRSA in the first five months of the year, against a target of 17.
However performance for August was in line with target, at four cases.
In her report to the board, chief executive Anne Eden said a detailed action plan had been produced. She said: “It is worth reiterating that our allowed upper limit of cases was not increased to reflect the integrated nature of the trust following the acquisition of community services and that our performance is still amongst the best in the country.”
