WORKFORCE: Cambridgeshire Community Services has reported problems with staff appraisals, mandatory training and staff sickness levels.
The trust’s February performanced report highlighted that the appraisal target was “red”.
It said: “All senior managers including business managers have been reminded on a number of occasions since [the] last finance, resources and performance committee meeting of the importance of completing appraisals and personal development plans for all colleagues on an ongoing basis.”
The report said mandatory training completion “remains a concern” and the staff sickness level “has risen beyond the critical 5.0 per cent target threshold”.
However, the report added: “It is expected that with the completion of winter, then the sickness rate will fall to below 5.0 per cent by end March 2011.”
