PERFORMANCE: Recent North Somerset CCG board papers warn that North Bristol NHS Trust is still experiencing “significant reporting problems” following the implementation of Cerner Millennium for outpatient reporting.

“Outpatient reporting is still experiencing severe problems and although the reports show relevant activity data, the financial information is still to be validated. The current assumption is that some follow-up attendances are being recorded as new outpatient attendances and are being investigated as part of the action plan.”

They also warn that the trust’s “inpatient activity should also be treated with caution as all regular attendees and some elective inpatients are being reported as emergency inpatients.”
