FINANCE: The primary care trust was showing a surplus of £1.25m at the end of January, new figures from NHS North West show.
The PCT maintained its forecast that it would finish 2010-11 with a surplus of £1.5m.
The £1.5m figure is a reduced surplus target, agreed with the strategic health authority in-year after the PCT identified a £5.5m shortfall in its £32.5m savings plans.
The commissioner’s original surplus target for the year was £7m.
