When End Game jokily suggested that NHS North West chief executive Mike Farrar might partner up with TV’s Arlene Phillips in his new role as NHS health champion, little did we know that he was already an accomplished dancer.

Not just a mover and shaker in the NHS world, he is equally impressive on the dancefloor, we hear, taking weekly lessons at Flinders Dance Centre in Kirkburton in West Yorkshire.

An adoring fan pointed out that not only has he mastered the quickstep but he also dances it to Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.

But it seems unlikely he will give up the day job just yet. Apparently he has “only just learnt to do it without counting the steps” and is “slightly thrown” by other songs.
