HSJ last week wrote about West Sussex PCT challenging two foundation trusts’ boards to meet in public.

Both the Queen Victoria Hospital and Sussex Partnership meet in private - but do allow their public governors to sit in. An anonymous commenter on hsj.co.uk was quick to add: “As a public elected governor for this FT… our board does allow one governor to attend but due to a signed confidentiality agreement cannot discuss anything heard with even my fellow governors and part of the meeting [is] restricted to me.”

Sussex Partnership says the governors agreed the protocols themselves.

Who said public governors did not challenge their foundations?
