FINANCE: County Durham and Darlington PCTs are on target to deliver surpluses at the end of the financial year - based on the first six months expenditure.

But all three proposed clinical commissioning groups are overspent against co-managed budgets, the board heard.

This was due to higher than expected spends on acute planned care and continuing healthcare budgets.

Overall, County Durham is expecting a commissioning overspend of £6m against plan and Durham £2.6m against plan.
