FINANCE: Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership reported a surplus of £1.6m for the financial year to October 2011.
The trust’s November finance report says: “This surplus relates to over recovery on the income plan, under spending within learning disabilities, community, corporate and estates services, which is offset by over spending within mental health, CAMHS and support services.”
The trust is forecasting a £2.8m surplus against a planned break-even position.
Pay budgets were underspent by £644,000, although nursing pay was overspent by £317,000
The trust’s £3.8m cost improvement plan target was achieved for the year to October.
However mental health inpatient wards were overspent by £559,000 on nursing costs due to agency staff usage.
