STRUCTURE: Assura Coventry have won a contract to provide the last remaining primary care trust-run community service centres in the Arden cluster area.

Coventry PCT had continued to provide services from the Anchor Centre, a primary care facility for people without stable accommodation, and the Meridian practice, for asylum seekers and refugees after all other services had transferred under the Transforming Community Services programme.

Cluster board papers for March say: “The PCT has competitively tendered these services and has identified a preferred provider (Assura Coventry LLP). The transfer is due to take place in March 2012.”

The PCT did have an interim management agreement with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust for the management, delivery and oversight of both facilities, with staff seconded to the provider.
