FINANCE: Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust was almost £100,000 ahead of its planned surplus at the end of May, according to board papers.
The June finance report stated that a £375k surplus was reported at the end of month two, which was £90k ahead of the planned surplus.
The main reason for this was the variance against planned income (of £562k above the planned level of income for month two), the board report added.
“The favourable financial position has led to a favourable cash position, and the trust was now meeting 88% (by volume) of payments to suppliers within 30 days,” it noted.
