PERFORMANCE: The trust this month recorded no breaches of the Department of Health’s guidelines on mixed sex accommodation, the first time it has done so since the start of monthly recording in April.

Latest data for July – based on returns from all 167 acute trusts in England – show the trust did not breach the guidelines.

This represents an improvement since June, when the trust reported seven breaches. The trust reported five breaches in May and 11 in April.

By region, the majority of breaches, 346, were in NHS London followed by the NHS South East Coast with 271.

The worst offenders in the South East Coast region were Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
