PERFORMANCE: The foundation trust this month recorded three breaches of the Department of Health’s guidelines on mixed sex accommodation, representing a dip in form against the target.
Latest data for July – based on returns from all 167 acute trusts in England – show the trust breached the guidelines on three occasions, compared with none in July.
The trust reported seven breaches in June, five breaches in May and 11 in April.
Its breach rate – the number of breaches per 1,000 finished consultant episodes – was 0.6 for August.
By region, the majority of breaches, 346, were in NHS London followed by the NHS South East Coast with 271.
The worst offenders in the region were Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
