FINANCE: Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is to receive extra government funding for new equipment.
Prime minister David Cameron announced on 6 March that around £330m of extra funding would be spent on providing “state of the art” equipment and facilities to improve services for patients.
Dartford and Gravesham will be the recipient of £2.9m of this money – the second largest tranche in the South East Coast region – which it is set to receive before the end of the financial year.
According to the Department of Health, it is scheduled to be spent on “additional and replacement equipment to improve efficiency and patient experience at Darent Valley Hospital”.
