FINANCE: NHS Derbyshire County has deducted commissioning for quality and innovation income (CQUIN) from Derby Hospitals Foundation Trust worth £699,000.
However, the contract with Derby Hospitals was still £3.6m overspent at the end of the financial year, board papers reveal.
This is a reduction in the forecast overspend of £493,000.
The PCT’s spending on its other trust, Nottingham University Hospitals, improved by £376,000 in the final month of the financial year 2010-11.
