COMMERCIAL: The FT has awarded a contract for its general printing requirements to a local firm.

The trust has recently awarded a contract for its general printing requirements to Worksop-based firm, Ratcliff & Roper (R&R). The five-year contract, with the possibility of up to two further years, was awarded after a competitive tendering process

David Pratt, director of finance, information and procurement, said: “We spend significant sums on printing patient information, forms for patients’ casenotes, and other key items. We look to obtain best value on every area of expenditure and believe we have secured a very good deal with R&R, who we look forward to working with in the years to come.”

Ratcliff & Roper (Printers) Ltd is an experienced lithographic and large format digital printer based in Nottinghamshire. The R&R Print Group employs 27 people across two sites in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

The trust said the contract would help to support the staff employed by R&R in Worksop. And, with the company located nearby Bassetlaw Hospital, travel costs for the delivery of goods and the impact on the environment are reduced.
