WORKFORCE: NHS Doncaster is expecting a £2.9m reduction in recurrent annual management costs, because of a voluntary redundancy round.
PCT board papers report there is a £4.1m management cost reduction target for 2011-12, although it was due to be adjusted to be based on “administration costs” instead.
A voluntary redundancy programme undertaken in March was expected to “release recurrent savings of £2.9m”. This “will be enhanced by the full year effect of 2010-11 MARS [mutually agreed redundancy scheme]”.
The PCT has also published a further “targeted redundancy scheme which will contribute additional savings to the PCT running cost targets”.
