PERFORMANCE: Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust was above its limit for cases of c-difficile in May by one case.
Across April and May the trust had four cases against an annual threshold of 18.
A report to July’s board said: “In May there were three reported cases of Clostridium Difficile infection; one over the trajectory. None of the cases were considered to be preventable but one of the cases was considered to have been present on admission but not detected due to differential diagnosis.”
