COMMERCIAL: Dorset Healthcare University Foundation Trust has signed a contract for a new patient adminstration system.

The trust will be the first of nine community providers to deploy TPP’s SystmOne information system which will allow clinicians secure access to the electronic patient record across multiple care settings, including community, community hospital, child health and minor injuries services.

Val Graves, director of community health services at Dorset Healthcare said: “We are excited to be the first Trust to go live with this project and our staff are enthusiastic about its implementation. They see the potential the SystmOne community/child health information system has to improve the care of their service users and benefit their working lives.

“The introduction of a patient administration system is a huge leap forward for both patients and staff.  It will enable much better co-ordinated care to be delivered, reduce the burden of paperwork and duplication and streamline our clinical and administration processes.”
