East London Foundation Trust has appointed Dr Navina Evans as the trust’s new chief executive taking over from Dr Robert Dolan when he retires in July 2016.
She is currently deputy chief executive and director of operations since 2011 and before joining the board was clinical director for child and adolescent mental health services. She has also worked as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist and lead clinician for CAMHS in Newham.
She has previous involvement in medical education for the trust and at Barts and the London Medical School as well as being involved in the work of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and in developing partnerships around integrated care.
Marie Gabriel, trust chair, said: “We are an ambitious and successful organisation and Dr Evans brings the right combination of experience, expertise and values to lead the trust into its next period of development.”
Dr Evans said “I am extremely proud to take on the role as chief executive of the trust. I am looking forward to working with staff and patients to continue our successful journey delivering innovative and high quality patient care.”
