- Wendy Saviour is to leave Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS after two years
The managing director of a ‘first-wave’ integrated care system is to step down in the autumn, HSJ understands.
Wendy Saviour has been managing director of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS since 2017. She is also responsible for carrying out NHS England’s regulatory oversight for the commissioning system in Nottinghamshire.
HSJ understands Sherwood Forest Hospitals’ medical director Andy Haynes is being considered by NHS England as a replacement for Ms Saviour. Dr Haynes was appointed medical director of the ICS earlier this year on secondment from the trust for three days a week.
The ICS declined to comment on Ms Saviour’s departure when approached by HSJ.
HSJ reported earlier this year Nottingham City Council had decided to rejoin the ICS. The council announced in December it would suspend its membership for six months, citing, among other issues, “lack of democratic oversight”.
