PERFORMANCE: East Sussex Healthcare received positive ratings for food, hospital environment and privacy and dignity in the annual Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) results.

Eastbourne District General Hospital was rated as “good” for food and environment and “excellent” for privacy and dignity.

Conquest Hospital received a “good” rating for food, an “acceptable” rating for environment and “excellent” for privacy and dignity.

Lewes Victoria Hospital was rated as “excellent” for both food and privacy and dignity and “good” for environment.

Crowborough War Memorial Hospital was rated as “excellent” for food and environment and “good” for privacy and dignity. Uckfield Community Hospital was rated as “good” across all three areas.

Bexhill Hospital was given a “good” rating for food and privacy and dignity and an “acceptable” in environment. Rye, Winchlesea and District Memorial Hospital was rated as “good” for food and environment and “excellent” for privacy and dignity.

Trust commercial director George Melling, said: “We are pleased to have received positive ratings.

However, these results do not mean we can be complacent and we will continue to work towards raising our standards even higher.”
