WORKFORCE: Around a third of East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust’s workforce had been immunised against seasonal flu by 9 December.
In his latest weekly statement, trust chief executive Darren Grayson said: “Around 1,750 staff have already had their flu jab.”
According to the trust’s annual report for 2010-11, it has a headcount of around 5,400. This suggests around 3,650 staff remain unvaccinated but does not account for whether they are clinical or non clinical staff.
Mr Grayson added: “You can still get a flu jab by contacting occupational health and I would urge you to do so to protect yourself, your family and our patients.”
