PERFORMANCE: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust has missed its friends and family test data collection target.

All trusts were supposed to collect completed “friends and family” tests from 15 per cent of eligible patients since the start of April.

A report to the trust’s board said: “This is a survey which looks at two groups of patients; adult acute inpatients and those who have attended accident and emergency and left without being admitted. Patients within this target group are surveyed and are given the opportunity to give feedback on their personal experiences.

“The standard is to achieve 15 per cent of eligible patients who responded to the question in quarter one. In month one the trust achieved 8 per cent.”
