FINANCE: Epsom and St Heler University Hospitals Trust has revised its forecast year-end deficit down to £12.1m, from an earlier plan of £19.4m.

A report to the board of the £329m-turnover trust said: “The trust has posted a year to date deficit of £7.5m against the planned year to date deficit of £15.6m giving an favourable variance of £8.1m.

“The trust has revised its forecast outturn to £12.1m (before reversal of impairments), £7.3m better than plan, recognising the sustained improvement in the income position and the year end deal with south west London PCT’s.”
