NHS Improvement has accepted formal revisions to the financial forecasts of almost 60 NHS trusts, according to data published today.

HSJ has analysed the official data and listed below the trusts that have formally revised their forecast outturn position for 2017-18. There are several other trusts that have not officialy revised their forecast but are likely to do so.

The figures exclude sustainability and transformation funding because trusts’ financial performance is judged prior to this income being received.

The revisions accepted for the 58 trusts in the table would add £658m to the provider sector deficit. Some of this will be offset by other providers now forecasting to do better than planned.

Once the STF is factored in, the provider sector is now forecast to deliver a £930m deficit, against the planned £496m.
