Sue Slipman has been reinstated as Foundation Trust Network director but has stood down from her role on the NHS Confederation board.
Ms Slipman was suspended in mid October after the network discussed plans to split from the confederation.
She has now returned to work but has stepped down from her director’s position on the NHS Confederation company board for an unspecified interim period.
An NHS Confederation spokesman said this would “allow discussions between the FTN and the NHS Confederation to proceed without raising any conflict of interest issues.”
He added: “We are glad to welcome Sue back to work and her role in providing a distinct voice for NHS foundation trusts and those applying for FT status.”
