WORKFORCE: Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has welcomed two new non-executive directors to its board.

One is David Clayton-Smith, who was chair of NHS Surrey for the past three years and oversaw the handover to clinical commissioning groups on 1 April. He is also chair of the Fairtrade Foundation.

He said: “Frimley Park is a great hospital full of talented individuals. I look forward to sharing my commercial strategy skills and recent NHS experience with the board and executive team to ensure it continues to thrive in the future.”

The other new non-exec is Stephen Crouch, currently group finance director and bursar at Wellington College Group.

Trust chair Sir Mike Aaronson said: “We had some excellent candidates to interview for these two posts but David and Stephen really stood out; between them offering an impressive skill mix which will greatly enhance our board.”

The trust also bid farewell to two non-executive directors.

Jo Le Couilliard retired from the board at the end of December and Ann Hacker, a non-exec at the trust since 2006 and deputy chair from April 2011, came to the end of her tenure on 31 March.
