FINANCE: Heatherwood and Wexham Park Foundation Trust reported a £35,000 deficit for month seven, £164,000 worse than plan.
A shortfall of recurrent cost improvements of £239,000 was the main reason. Although the trust received an extra £561,000 from commissioners, there were costs of £350,000 associated in part with meeting waiting times targets, and a further £240,000 of extra drugs costs.
The trust’s year to date position includes £1.5m released from contingency funds.
Its end of year forecast was still a £6.9m deficit, in line with plan.
