PERFORMANCE: Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been named among the 40 best in the country for the eleventh time by health intelligence company CHKS.
Earlier this month CHKS announced the winners of its Top Hospitals programme awards at a ceremony in London. The 40 Top Hospitals award is one of several that are part of this awards programme.
The programme is in its 12th year and Frimley Park has now been named among the top 40 trusts nationally in all but one year.
This award is based on an evaluation of 23 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
Frimley Park was also shortlisted in the top three hospital trusts nationally for CHKS data quality award for England.
Frimley Park chief executive Andrew Morris said: “To be acknowledged by CHKS as among the top hospitals nationally is both a significant endorsement for the trust and reassuring for our community to know that their local hospital continues to perform well in CHKS assessments.
“And to receive this award for the eleventh time highlights our ongoing commitment to providing a high standard of care to our patients.”
Jason Harries, managing director of CHKS said: “We are delighted that Frimley Park Hospital is one of our 40Top Hospitals for 2012. These awards recognise outstanding performance in 23 areas which we believe are critical to delivering good patient care.”
