WORKFORCE: Around 70 staff have been transferred from Great Yarmouth and Waveney PCT to the social enterprise looking to take over the commissioning budget in the area.
A GP commissioning update from HealthEast Community Interest Company chief executive Andrew Evans said activity at the organisation had “centred around completing the practical process of agreeing staff ‘loans’ from the PCT and beginning to assume day to day managerial responsibility for PCT functions”.
It said a “first tranche” of approximately 45 staff had already joined the CIC and a further 25 were to join “when the final phase is completed before the end of June”.
The report noted: “Of particular importance is the identification of the director of clinical transformation - Dr Jamie Wyllie, who will lead the vital clinical transformation/integration work.
“With the clarity associated with knowing staff names, the creation of a HealthEast corporate spirit and new methods of working are now taking practical shape,” it added. “This includes bringing together those staff within the Beccles HQ and centring all HealthEast activity within the building.”
