FINANCE: Primary care trusts in Norfolk and Great Yarmouth and Waveney are forecasting a full year surplus of £2m, despite financial pressures in the acute sector and continuing care.

Both quality, innovation, productivity and prevention (QIPP) plans and overall spending are broadly on track so far - but over performance at some acute providers is £9.8m in NHS Norfolk alone.

Slippage and contingency funds mean that the year end forecast remains at £2m across the cluster.
