FINANCE: Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust received £13.1m in Project Diamond funding in 2012-13, finance papers released under the Freedom of Information Act reveal.

The £1.1bn-turnover teaching hospital trust received the money from the Department of Health, which took over the administration of the scheme from NHS London.

Project Diamond is a fund paid to London teaching and specialist hospitals by NHS London intended to reflect the higher costs borne by these trusts for undertaking more complex work.
