WORKFORCE: The primary care trust cluster covering Southampton, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth has annouced two key board-level appointments.

The South Central strategic health authority has announced that Debbie Fleming, who leads NHS Hampshire, will join the new body as chief executive.

Steve Bolam, currently the director of finance, information and performance at NHS Hampshire, has been appointed the cluster’s director of finance and performance.

Papers for an extraordinary meeting of the Southampton City PCT board say the cluster will be the third largest in the country.

The full management team is expected to be appointed by the end of May 2011.
