PERFORMANCE: Heart of England Foundation Trust was issued with two exception notices and has been advised that a further two for stroke and outpatient indicators are likely to be issued.

The pressure relating to delayed transfers of care has lessened, with a performance notice now closed. However, the issue will “remain high on the PCT radar”.

An exception report for the patient pathway has resulted in the withholding of 1 per cent of contract value.

The trust has not met the 95th percentile indicator for A&E. This, coupled with the failure of the four hour target in quarter two and quarter four last year may result in an escalation from Monitor.
