PERFORMANCE: Hertfordshire Community Trust is putting on additional sessions to ensure young children are given health screening, after it fell below targets for the number seen.
One year olds and two and a half year olds are offered health reviews but the trust has fallen short of the 90 per cent target in each case at 60 and 70 per cent respectively so far this year. It is now putting on additional sessions, sending multiple reminder letters to parents and targeting outstanding reviews. A board paper also notes that its health visitors have an average case load of 571, against a target of under 500.
