Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust has warned it is at risk of not delivering on its target for 62 day wait for treatment for urgent GP referrals.

The trust has reported 13 breaches of the target in January and February with a performance level of 82.3 per cent against its target of 85 per cent.

In its latest performance report the trust warned “delivery of the target for quarter four, is now at risk, with the trust having a maximum of a further four breaches during the month of March to be able to achieve the 85 per cent target.”

According to the report an investigation of breaches found the majority were due to complex pathways and patient choice but the trust’s cancer team has also highlighted a problem with capacity in the urology clinic and CT capacity for the head and neck speciality as causing delays.
