WORKFORCE: Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust has appointed Dr Julie Hankin as its new medical director.
Dr Hankin, national professional adviser for mental health to the Care Quality Commission, is currently clinical director for Wiltshire at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust and a consultant psychiatrist.
Outgoing medical director Dr Gopi Krishnan is to move to a role in forensic services at the trust after one year in the role, according to a trust spokeswoman.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare, which reported a £425m turnover in 2012-13, provides integrated mental health, learning disability and community physical health services across Nottinghamshire.
The trust also manages two medium secure units, Arnold Lodge in Leicester and Wathwood Hospital in Rotherham, and the high secure Rampton Hospital near Retford.
The two trusts are still negotiating the date of Dr Hankin’s move to Nottinghamshire Healthcare.
