FINANCE Imperial College Healthcare Trust has gained level three accreditation from the NHS Litigation Authority.
A report from chief executive Mark Davies to the board said: “The trust was assessed against the new challenging NHSLA standards at the end of August and was successful in passing these at the highest level. The assessment comprised compliance reviews of 50 standards related to all aspects of governance and risk processes. In addition nine of these standards had ward-based live reviews. The trust scored 48 out of 50.
“Approximately 5 per cent of acute trusts have achieved level three. The trust will receive 30 per cent off insurance premiums by passing this assessment which equates to almost £12m over the next three years.”
