WORKFORCE: Imperial College Healthcare Trust has appointed a new finance director.
Richard Alexander, who is currently finance director at University College London Hospitals Foundation Trust, will take on the role in the summer.
Mr Alexander has been at UCLH for eight years.
Before joining the NHS, Mr Alexander was at technology company Oracle for 16 years.
The chief executive of Imperial College Healthcare Trust, Tracey Batten, said: “We were extremely impressed with the strength and breadth of Richard’s experience and achievements in both the commercial and public sectors. His strong values and deep understanding of the NHS make him a great fit for our executive team and trust board.”
Mr Alexander said: “I’m really excited to be joining both the leadership team and the finance directorate of Imperial College Healthcare Trust. It feels like exactly the right time to be joining this famous trust as it is creating an inspiring vision for an exciting future, beginning to evolve its services and ways of working to meet the changing health needs of patients and local communities. I’m really looking forward to being part of the delivery of this vision, building on the great experience I have had during my eight years at UCLH.”
