STRUCUTRE: The north London primary care trust GP consortium shadow board willl see 11 voting members, seven of them GPs.

Of these, one will be from each of the three localities in the borough, plus a chair, vice chair, a sessional or salaried GP and one additional general practitioner.

The four remaining voting posts will be filled by a practice manager, a practice nurse and two lay members.

A report to the PCT said all appointments would be made until March 31, 2013.

The consortium is currently seeking government pathfinder status. The report said: “The Islington GP Commissioning leadership submitted the [pathfinder] application at the end of February and are currently awaiting the results from the NHS London assessment process.”
