STRUCTURE: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership has launched a Community Engagement Strategy.
The strategy has been developed over the last year with the involvement of service users and community members. Its aim is to develop better working partnerships with communities across Kent and Medway, to reduce inequalities and make joint decisions about services.
Trust vice chair Paul Godwin said: “This is a vital strategy for the trust. We want to engage better with our local community to make joint decisions about the design and delivery of KMPT services, as we know it will ultimately help to improve them.
“We believe that people have different needs, interests and strengths and we are committed to developing opportunities to provide inclusive and holistic services.
“We must now make the vision set out in this strategy a reality across all of our services.”
