WORKFORCE: Kingston Hospital Trust has appointed a new chair.

Ian Reynolds, former chair of NHS Wandsworth, chairman of Citybond Holdings Plc and the Family Holiday Association, took up his post on 1 November.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors, the Royal Society for Arts, the Tourism Society and the Institute for Travel and Tourism, a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the British Computer Society.

Mr Reynolds said: “I am delighted to be taking up the post of chairman at Kingston Hospital. As a local resident myself, I know the hospital has an excellent reputation in the community. I am looking forward to joining the team and working with the trust board to continue to provide the best service we can for our patients.”

Trust chief executive Kate Grimes said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Ian as chairman to the trust. Ian brings with him a wealth of experience and we are looking forward to working with him and benefiting from his expertise.”

Former chairman Christopher Smallwood, who served for a period of three years, left the trust at the end of October to take up the role of chairman at St George’s Healthcare Trust.
