PERFORMANCE: A memory service run by Lancashire Care FT has gained accreditation “with excellence” from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The service involves multi-disciplinary teams at Lytham and Fleetwood hospitals providing all-round assessment, treatment and advice for people with memory problems.
It was accredited as part of the Royal College of Psychiatrists national memory services accreditation programme.
“I am absolutely delighted that the service has received such an accolade,” said service manager Steve Bracewell.
“Diagnosing dementia early is so important to enable people to ‘live well’ with their illness, able to make their own decisions and to receive appropriate treatment.”
