STRUCTURE: The trust is consulting on renaming itself, following its recent expansion.

In 2010 North Yorkshire and York PCT tendered its mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services and in January 2011 the Leeds Partnerships FT were confirmed as “the recommended bidder” to manage services in the York city, Selby district and Easingwold, as well as some services for the whole of the North Yorkshire and York.

As a result, the trust is looking for a new name to “reflect” the new partnership, and earlier this year asked people for their ideas on what the new name should be.

The current shortlist is:

  • Leeds and York Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust
  • Leeds, York and North Yorkshire Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust
  • Yorkshire Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust
  • Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust

The trust is now asking for views from the public, service users, carers, staff and partners.
